Public Notice: Waitlist Opening for 3 & 4 Bedroom Units
The Buford Housing Authority (BHA) is accepting online applications to replenish our three and four-bedroom waiting lists.
Key Dates & Caps
• Open Date: Monday, June 22, 2026, at 12:01 AM EST
• Closing Date: Friday, June 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST
• Application Cap: The list will close early if 100 applications are received before Friday’s deadline.
Household Eligibility Criteria
• Household Size Requirements:Minimum of three (3) members and a maximum of eight (8) members.
• Occupancy Standards: Applications that do not meet BHA occupancy standards for three and four-bedroom units will be deemed ineligible and closed.
• Limits: Only one (1) application is allowed per household.
• Selection: Eligible applicants are ranked by local preferences, then by the exact date and time of completion.
Required Documentation for Each Household Member
To avoid missing the cutoff, ensure you have the following details ready for every person in your household before you begin:
• Social Security Number and Date of Birth
• Proof of Income: Employer name (or income source) and the exact amount earned weekly, monthly, or annually from each source.
Important Legal Notice
All questions must be answered truthfully. Providing false statements on a federal government application is a crime and will result in the immediate denial of your application.
How to Apply
Applications must be completed online by visiting www.bufordhousing.com.
If you do not have internet or computer access, you can:
• Visit your local public library.
• Use the computer in the BHA lobby by appointment only. To schedule a lobby computer time, please call 770-945-5212.
